Today I planted a Handroanthus chrysanthus aka Golden trumpet tree that I got from Karl. In Venezuela it’s called araguaney and it’s their national tree. When in full bloom the whole tree is bright yellow and it’s hard to miss. There’s a big one at the elementary school in Papaikou and planted here and there around Hilo.
