This morning Julia opened up the bee hive to check it out for the first time. She recently took a 4 weekend beekeeping class and she handled it like a pro. I was surprised how chill the bees were and I was able stand right up close without a bee suit. The garden is full of bees now and it seems like we should get more frames and boxes soon.
I planted two green tea plants today in the deep shade. It’s been rough planting new trees without the consistent rains and I’m going change the planting schedule to mostly understory plants or drought tolerant cultures. The vanilla orchid cuttings from day 51 are putting out new growth and started to climb up trees!
