Today I planted a manele aka Hawaiian soapberry which is a native tree usually found growing in high elevation rainforests. This is one of the few native deciduous trees, meaning they tend to shed most of their leaves every year usually in the fall. These trees also grow very tall in higher elevations. There is not really a particular use for this tree it seems but it is a nice looking tree with splashes of small white blossoms.
