Today I planted a cherimoya tree that I got from Ken Love. Cherimoya is a delicious fruit and Im happy to get one in the ground. Although they are from the tropics they prefer to grow in higher altitudes. We are at about 650 feet above sea level so the internet says it may be a little too low for them, but that won’t stop me from trying.
You rarely see cherimoya for sale at the markets probably because they are so tasty. The fruit is very sweet and creamy and custard-like and has a banana, pear, pineapple flavor with other fruits mixed in. Some people say it tastes similar to fruit loops cereal or bubblegum.
Today is autumn equinox and I planted something every day for 265 days. I realized that I only have 100 more days to go. I feel like I’ve already climbed to the summit and the rest of this journey should be easy going. Thank you for tuning in.
