Day 270: Today I planted another Australian berry producing tree that can be pruned down

Today I planted another Australian berry producing tree that can be pruned down into a tall shrub called Pilly Lilly. There seems to be different types of Pilly Lillies and I’m not exactly sure which one this is. This one might be Syzygium smithii which can have pink or purple fruits. The edible fruits have a slightly acidic but unremarkable taste and apparently it makes a good chutney. This one seems like it can handle some wind as it is often used as a windbreak. Something we can definitely use more of here in windy Laupahoehoe.
