Planted a black pepper vine today that we got from our friend Mary and Krystal It’ll be climbing up a Queensland maple tree we planted 4 years ago.
Vines play an important role in a healthy forest and utilize the vertical space nicely if you plan it well. We have all kinds of vines climbing up here and there. Passion fruit vines, jade vines, vanilla orchid vines, sacha inchi vines.
I’m looking forward to enjoying the various stages of green, red, and black peppercorns.
We bagged our last two batches of dried cacao beans for aging. Weighing a modest 11 pounds, this is our first big batch of cacao we will be processing into chocolate in a couple months.
