I planted the third Atom tree, Dacryodes macrophylla which is still a big mystery. I can’t find too much info about it online. I can’t even find a picture of the tree just a bunch of dead ends. So here are the facts: 1) it’s a big tree 2) you need a male and female so you need to plant several of them 3) tree produces juicy red fruits. 4) People in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon enjoy it during season Jun-Aug.
According to Joe if this tree can grow well in Hawaii it could potentially become a good fruit to market. I’m pretty excited to be one of first people attempting to grow this tree in Hawaii.
I found a mutant double crown white pineapple. It’s not ready to pick yet.
