Day 219: Today I planted another dragon fruit

Day 220: Today I planted another dragon fruit. I was at the Hilo farmers market the other

Today I planted another dragon fruit. I was at the Hilo farmers market the other day and I wanted to eat a dragon fruit. The lady at the booth wanted $8/lb for the red flesh ones and she saw me make a face, and offered it to me for $7/lb instead. I bought one. I went to KTA right after and found red dragon fruits selling for $4.50/lb. After getting that really crappy durian earlier this year, being charged $4 for an avocado and now this… I’m not sure if Hilo farmers market is where I want to shop anymore.

Over half the produce sold there is basically off grade imported stuff that they get from distributors. The mangoes are from Mexico and it’s even displayed in the boxes they were shipped in. The bananas are just from the side of the road.

It could be so much better… Sorry my rant is done now.
