Today I planted another durian seedling tree. This one is definitely a Monthong which means golden pillow in Thai. In Thailand this is the most widely grown variety although there are a couple hundred other types.
Durian trees can grow very tall… Over 100 feet! Some of the other trees we planted four years ago are getting very big like the Queensland maple (60 ft.) and Jacaranda (40 ft.). This was all grass when we got here.
Other trees like the Mangosteen is taking forever to grow but showing a new flush of leaves. It’s that time of the year when all of the trees are pushing out new growth.
