Koaia, Acacia koaia, is a native Hawaiian tree in the legume family, Fabaceae, and a close relative of koa.
Origin and Habitat
Endemic to Hawaii, typically found in drier forest habitats than its more common cousin koa.

Similar in general form to koa, but usually smaller and denser, with the same sickle-shaped phyllodes standing in for true leaves.
