What It Looks Like
A small shrub bearing small red berries, unremarkable in appearance for what it actually does.
Uses and Flavor
The berry itself is mild, but it contains a compound called miraculin that temporarily makes sour foods taste sweet. Joe gave me a ripe araza once and we tried it with miracle berry alongside it — the araza went from tart to genuinely delicious. That’s the whole magic trick this plant does, and it works exactly as advertised.

Grown as much for the party trick as for anything else — it’s a fun, functional oddity in the food forest.
