A cultivated cross rather than a wild species, developed from tangerine and pomelo (or grapefruit, depending on the variety) parentage.
What It Looks Like
Fruit size and shape vary by variety, some rounder, some with a distinct knob at the stem end, generally with loose, easy-peel skin like a tangerine.
Uses and Flavor
Sweet, juicy, and easy to peel, good for fresh eating or juice, splitting the difference between its tangerine and pomelo parents.
Growing It Here
Part of the same citrus planting push as Meyers lemon, Tahitian lime, navel orange, and Buddha’s hand citron. Does well alongside the rest of the collection.

Standard citrus pests like scale and leaf miner would apply, nothing specific to report from ours.

Some trees don’t need an origin story beyond good breeding and good flavor. This one has been fruiting since 2023, and honestly, it might be my favorite citrus on the whole farm, I could eat a tangelo every single day and not get tired of it. No-drama, reliable member of the citrus lineup, and that’s plenty.
