Today I planted a Voa vanga or Spanish tamarind tree that I got from Joe. It’s not really from Spain and it isn’t a tamarind, it’s a tree from Africa that makes large orange fruits that you harvest when fully ripe. Apparently during food shortages the people of Africa eat a lot of this fruit as it is packed with nutrients. It supposedly tastes like dried apples 🍎 and chocolate! 🍫 ???
