Today I planted a Browneopsis ucayalina that I got from Dennis. Browneopsis is a small understory tree from the jungles of Ecuador and Peru. I don’t know too much about this tree but I really like it. Although not edible, the tree has nice red patterns on it’s new growth with big showy flowers and the pods are flat and very strange looking.
We had some really nice weather today and the cacao beans are drying well. We found our very first artichoke starting to flower too!
