Day 178: Today I planted some Pitcairnia atrorubens which is a bromeliad that doesn't loo

Today I planted some Pitcairnia atrorubens which is a bromeliad that doesn’t look like a bromeliad, but they put out really cool flower spikes occasionally. They like to grow in the shade, so it was a good day to plant them in this hot sunny weather. One of them is actually flowering so I can find out what kind of flower it makes. I also potted up some papaya seeds in grow tubes I think theres 98 tubes in a tray. Half of which are the famous Laupahoehoe papaya from Lesley and Roy’s and I think the variety is called Kamiya. The other half is a variety I got from Adam… I forgot the name but it’s probably a good papaya too!
