Today I planted something every day for 6 months! I’m a maniac! A total of 152 trees of which 41 were cacao trees. Aside from that I planted 57 shrubs and vines, 14 bananas, 12 palms, and 16 miscellaneous plants like gingers and orchids. AND the tree I planted yesterday was the first of it’s kind ever to be planted in Hawaii.
Today I planted a cacao tree. I’m really starting to squeeze in the plantings and I need to clear more land to make more space.
This also marks the end of ‘birthday month’ celebrations. I got myself a present this year and it arrived in the mail today. An oil painting by Erin who used to live in Hawaii, but now lives in Florida. Her color palette is astounding, and this is the 2nd wave painting that I picked up from her. The first painting I got is of diamond head a few years ago. She does paintings on reclaimed surfboards too. Amazing work.
