Today I planted a Citrus wintersii aka brown river finger lime which is from the brown river region of Papua New Guinea. It was formerly called Microcitrus papuana. Much like regular finger limes there are little bits of flesh that you can squeeze out to use as a garnish. I got this unusual finger lime from Joe and he says that this finger lime is a bit more rounder than the regular pointy finger limes.
It seems like we have clear skies tonight to enjoy the lunar eclipse! What a great way to continue celebrating Julia’s ‘birthday week.’
