Today I planted another cacao tree. This one is #118 all together. About 6 years ago when we were trying to figure out what would be our main crop Julia jokingly said that we should grow chocolate.
At first I thought it was too labor intensive to grow cacao, ferment, dry, roast, and make chocolate. But the more I looked into it I thought “why not?”
Everybody loves chocolate.
Cacao is the perfect compact understory tree that loves the shade in a tropical food forest setting. Plus it allows us to grow everything else!
