Today I managed to find one more spot to plant a seedling durian tree. Seedling durians can take 10 years or more to start producing. The quality of the fruit is also not guaranteed to be good. But once in a blue moon you can hit the durian jackpot with a productive awesome quality durian tree. This is durian #23 so I would say the odds are in our favor by now.
ALSO… Julia received her 1st degree black belt today and I’m so proud of her!!! She’s been going to the Aikido dojo in Hilo for 6 years now. I’m so glad that she belongs to such a supportive community and Julia is very blessed to have sensei Klein as a mentor. She also completed a beginning bee keeping workshop in Ahualoa yesterday and we are planning to get some bee hives going soon. She has the suit, smoker and everything. Go Julia!!!
Julia’s mother would be so proud too, but sadly she has passed away November last year… Facebook was my way of staying in touch with her and she was hands down the biggest fan of my posts. We miss her a lot.
