Today I planted another duranta, a flowering shrub near the bee hive. This duranta got fried in the hot sun a while back in it’s pot but its making a comeback. I’m glad that these plants are pretty sturdy, especially in this hot weather. We even set up a little water bath so that the bees can gather water, but I haven’t seen one drink from it yet.
I’ve been in the kitchen cooking all day as I’m helping a friend of a friend celebrate their 70th birthday tomorrow. I harvested a bunch of edible flowers and berries from the garden for decoration before the sun went down.
