Today I harvested a wheelbarrow load of cacao pods, cracked them all open and started the fermentation process. I planted an ashwagandha next to the naranjilla, it’s starting to resemble a nightshade garden. Ashwaganda is a medicinal plant from India used in ayurvedic medicine. We grow it from time to time, and Hilary makes a tincture from the roots.
It was a hot day today and the picture of the cats says it all. We ate the best tasting burger I had all year at Krystle and Barret’s tonight. Big island beef grilled in the smoker with aged cheddar, some garden grown onion, tomato, and peppers Mmmmm!!! Happy 4th everyone.
