I planted more plantains in the recently cleared area where I plan on growing more cacao trees. The plantains will protect the cacao from the wind, and provide shade, and I won’t have to drag banana trunks across the farm for mulching anymore.
Turmeric on the right side is dying back so that means it’s harvest time! Last year we did about 75 lbs of turmeric all together. This year is more like double that amount.
I think the pineapple row will produce tons of fruits this summer… my guess is about 370 or so. All whites!
