Chocolate was the theme for today. I harvested cacao pods at Roy and Leslie’s orchard. They grow papayas, lychee, citrus, and it seems like there will be a decent mango harvest this year which is unusual and happens once in a while on our coast.
The fermented beans were put out to dry on the racks. Since I had a pound of nibs I decided to run a micro batch of chocolate in the refiner.
To finish off the day I planted a cacao tree. This is my last cacao tree I have to plant until the next batch of seedlings are ready. I still have a lot of trees to plant out but every plant that was in the nursery in 2020 are all in the ground.
