Today I snuck outside during a rain puka to quickly plant more sugar cane. This rain feels nice and it’s a great day for inside work and figuring out what to plant next where. Believe it or not there is sort of a plan sketched out.
My super cool neighbor Warren brought over his drone to get some aerial footage of our property. Its cool to see it side by side with the color pencil drawings. I’m going to draw a more updated and accurate version of the plant map soon.
Planting a tree seems like a huge commitment at first and in the beginning it took forever to decide where. But nowadays it’s more intuitive, and of course after many mistakes we have a better understanding and a stronger connection with the land.
