Today I planted a sandalwood tree late at night. It’s a new moon or something and it was pitch black outside. I planted the tree at the base of a Egyptian river hemp (sesbania) because sandalwood is a hemiparasite, meaning it can take resources from neighboring plants.
Tim told me this is why you don’t yank out anything growing close to the sandalwood base because it can severely damage the sandalwood’s root system. This is a pro tip.
Tim brought some sandalwood nuts that he collected at his secret spot. We’re going to test how they taste when covered in chocolate!
