Earlier today Adam and I had a Kavalactones jam session so I decided to plant an awa moi which is one of the noble Hawaiian varieties of kava. Sharing the same name as the hawaiian threadfish, the fish and this kava variety was reserved strictly for chiefs and royalty.

Ka’iana shared a bunch of Hawaiian kava cuttings with me a while ago. I started about 8 cuttings of moi but only one of them made it so this is a very precious plant that I need to propagate more later. Perfect to grow in the understory, moi is a short kava plant with dark purple stems with some green in it. It has a moderate amount of kavalactones and is a smooth and heady drink.

Our second official customer is Joyce and her crew and they are the first to buy chocolate with crypto currency. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend learning about digital wallets and the potential of Web 3.0 technology.
