Today I planted an Adriatic fig also commonly called white fig. Julia was given a rooted cutting from Holly at the Mala’ai in Waimea and these figs are very good. Hopefully they will grow as prolifically where we are.
I can’t believe how many pods are developing on some of our cacao trees… The one in the picture has over 200. But cacao trees do drop a lot of fruits to focus their energy towards about 50 to 80 pods. Sometimes more.
We attempted to make some lava cakes the other night but I think I put a little too much flour in the batter and it baked through all the way. Once we can get the center to ooze out I will report back.
