Today we planted a Mountain Apple tree. When I was a kid, there was a mountain apple tree in the backyard of the house I grew up in. I remember picking many fruits off of that tree.

I really like it when the flowers of this tree cover the ground with a layer of magenta pink. When the fruit is picked perfectly ripe it’s slightly crispy, juicy, and it has a pleasant rose flavor.
